Have you heard of the “Boiling Frog” parable?

    

    “If a frog is placed in a pot of boiling water, it will immediately jump out to save itself. However, if the frog is placed in lukewarm water that is slowly heated, it won’t perceive the danger and eventually be cooked.”


For your well-being, that “slow heat” is time spent in poor posture.


With misaligned posture, the imbalances of tension create strain in muscles and connective tissues. With a collapsed structure, you take in less air — your most basic source of energy — with each breath. The immediate effect is subtle. But accumulated over years and decades, it builds up to significant pain and energy decline. With physical pain and a lack of energy, your mind cannot be at peace either.


Like a car with misaligned transmission, your body and mind will break down sooner. By learning to move through life with aligned posture, you’ll accumulate less wear and tear, and your body and mind will drive for longer.


To realign your posture, precision is key. Every little change in the angle of a bone changes the muscle fibres you affect. You get results by working smarter, not harder. It’s about using your breath and mind to dive deeper into the body and solving the puzzle of misalignments. Pushing harder in ineffective angles will not create the desired changes.
